Description

In the Jermuk gorge, under one of the bridges over the Arpa, there is a spring from which weakly carbonated mineral water flows slowly. It is said that an old man who had lost his eyesight drank from this spring and washed his eyes, after which he began to see. He then named this healing pool "Aknaghbyur" (Eye Spring), and this name, like the legend, spread among the people.
