Description

Halotherapy is a non-drug therapeutic method based on an artificial microclimate simulating underground salt caves. The therapeutic mechanism relies on the beneficial effects of negatively charged sodium chloride aerioles and hydroaerioles. The aerioles penetrate the respiratory system and partially absorb into the blood through alveoli, thereby affecting the entire body. Negative ions accelerate ciliary movement, cleanse the upper respiratory tract, stimulate fluid excretion, improve lung metabolism, and enhance overall bodily functions. Halotherapy also supports regulation of vegetative functions, normalization of blood pH, stabilization of the neuromuscular system, and psychological well-being. The method is particularly effective for vegetovascular dystonia, neuroses, hypertension and hypotension, acute and chronic respiratory diseases (rhinitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, sinusitis, adenoiditis), chronic lung diseases (chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchial asthma), allergies, pollinosis, and skin conditions (eczema, neurodermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea). The treatment course lasts 5–15 days, with a repeat course after 6 months.
