Description
The dry carbon dioxide bath is a therapeutic method using carbon dioxide, which moderately increases CO₂ levels in the circulatory system, activating a range of beneficial processes. Tissue oxygenation improves, vascular wall tone increases, venous blood flow and lymphatic system activity are enhanced, toxins are expelled, wound healing accelerates, inflammation is suppressed, and the skin becomes more elastic and resilient.
Dry CO₂ baths are applied both locally (burns, varicose veins) and systemically (insomnia, chronic stress, chronic fatigue syndrome, immune system restoration).
Indications include circulatory system diseases (angina, hypertension), lower limb vascular issues, thrombosis, chronic bronchitis, mild asthma, neuroses, heavy physical strain, thyroid and gonadal dysfunction, obesity, psycho-emotional stress, joint and spine disorders, urological and female pelvic inflammatory diseases, early-stage diabetes, and skin conditions (psoriasis, dermatoses, burns, and wound healing).
The treatment course depends on indications and lasts 5–15 days, 2–3 times per year.
